Obituary for Debra Jo Rasmussen

Rasmussen, Debra "Deb" Jo 66, of Coon Rapids, MN passed away peacefully at home on July 9, 2021 with her family by her side. Deb was born January 14, 1955 to Joseph and Ramona Sullivan. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Denise and nieces and nephew. She is survived by her husband of nearly 43 years, Douglas, son Douglas Jr (Brittany), daughter Cassandra (David), grandchildren Christina, Andruw, Bailey, Jaxen, sisters Paulette (Bill), Tami (Dan) and Terri (Sharon), and in-laws. Deb graduated from college in 2005 with a paralegal degree, however, her love for others led her to work as a dietary aide at a nursing home where she always made sure the residents enjoyed the holidays (big and small) with trinkets and treats. Before retirement she worked as a school bus paraprofessional. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren, family and dogs. Deb loved angels, animals, Christmas and Halloween. She had a heart of gold and a very strong will. Deb always put others before herself. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Visitation will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 from 5-7pm, with service to follow at 7pm at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd, (763)767-1000.
